poster Gustavo Castelo-Branco is a Professor of Physics in IST and former President of CFTP. Following his doctorate at City College in New York in 1976, and from a successful early career, first in Germany and then in the US, Castelo Branco returned to Portugal in 1980. Here he developed a research group in the specialty and guided countless in this area. In 1999, he published in the prestigious Oxford University Press the reference book "CP Violation", in collaboration with Luís Lavoura and João Paulo Silva, receiving the Humboldt Prize ofr science.
